God's Simple Plan of Salvation
The most important decision you will ever make — and the Good News is, it's simple!
All scripture from the King James Bible (KJB)
Friend, are you 100% certain that if you were to die today, you would go to Heaven? The Bible says you can KNOW! God loves you and has made a simple plan for your salvation.
The Five Simple Steps
Admit You Are a Sinner
The first step is to recognize and admit that you are a sinner — separated from a holy God. Every person who has ever lived, except Jesus Christ, is a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 KJB
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10 KJB
No matter how good we try to be, we all fall short. Our sin separates us from God.
Understand the Penalty for Sin
Because God is a holy and just God, sin must be punished. The Bible is clear about what the penalty for sin is — death and eternal separation from God.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 KJB
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27 KJB
This is spiritual death — eternal separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell. But there is good news!
Understand That God Loves You
Even though we are sinners and deserve punishment, God loves us so much that He made a way for us to be saved. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJB
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 KJB
Jesus — who was God in the flesh, perfect and sinless — took our punishment upon Himself. He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day!
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJB
Repent of Your Sins
Repentance means to change your mind — to turn from your sin and turn toward God. It means agreeing with God that you are a sinner and that you need a Saviour.
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 KJB
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:19 KJB
Believe in Jesus Christ — Receive Him as Your Saviour!
The final — and most important — step is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is not just head knowledge; it is trusting fully in Jesus and what He did for you on the cross.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 KJB
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 KJB
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:31 KJB
It is that simple! Salvation is a FREE GIFT — not something you earn!
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB
A Sinner's Prayer
If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you can pray a prayer like this one. Remember, it's not the exact words that save you — it is your faith in Jesus Christ!
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve to go to Hell for my sins. But I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again from the dead. Right now, I turn from my sins and I trust in Jesus Christ alone as my personal Saviour. Lord Jesus, come into my heart and save my soul. Thank You for saving me. Amen."
If you prayed that prayer and meant it in your heart — YOU ARE SAVED! Welcome to the family of God! 🎉
The Bible promises: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life" — 1 John 5:13 KJB
