God's Simple Plan of Salvation
Straight from the King James Bible — how you can know for certain that you have eternal life.
1. We Are All Sinners
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."Romans 3:23 (KJB)
Because we are all sinners, we are condemned to death. That includes eternal separation from God in Hell.
2. The Penalty for Sin
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."Romans 6:23 (KJB)
But the good news is that God offers us the free gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.
3. God Loved You and Provided the Way
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."Romans 5:8 (KJB)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."John 3:16 (KJB)
Jesus paid the full price for your sin by dying on the cross, being buried, and rising again the third day.
4. Salvation Is a Free Gift — Received by Faith
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJB)
You cannot earn Heaven by good works. Salvation is received by trusting Jesus Christ alone.
5. Simply Call Upon the Lord
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."Romans 10:9 (KJB)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."Romans 10:13 (KJB)
Will You Trust Christ Right Now?
If you understand that you are a sinner, and you believe that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again, you can be saved this moment. You can express your faith through a simple prayer like this:
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose again. Right now I trust Jesus Christ alone as my Saviour. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name, amen."
